KC-102 is a Co-Mo-based sulfur-resistant CO-shift catalyst suitable for medium-pressure CO-shift processes.
KC-101 was developed to be used as the carrier or adsorbing material for the KC series of sulfur-resistant CO-shift catalysts, with its main ingredient of magnesium aluminate spinel. KC-101 has a high porosity and can protect the sulfur-resistant CO-shift catalysts from poisoning by effectively adsorbing the impurities and poisons in the feed gas such as carbon black, tar and dust. Therefore, the working life of sulfur-resistant CO-shift catalysts can be significantly increased by firstly installing KC-101.
The method of application of KC-101 is fairly simply with no need of reduction or sulfurization stage. Additionally, KC-101 does not contain alkali metal which may cause equipment corrosions.
Technical Features:
- High mechanical strength and strength stability
- Excellent anti-hydrating capacity
- Effective in adsorbing impurities and poisons in the feed gas including carbon black, tar and dust
- High operating flexibility, with the adaptive capacity for high airspeed and wide water-gas ratio
- Long working life and renewable.
Working Conditions:
KC-101 is suitable for CO-shift processes of heavy oil, residual oil and coal, adsorbing carbon black, tar and dust in the feed gases in order to protect the sulfur-resistant shift catalysts. Its suitable operating conditions are listed as below:
- Temperature: 0 - 600℃
- Pressure: 0 – 9.0 MPa(g)
- Airspeed: up to 2000 h-1 (wet gas base)
- Water-gas ratio: 0.1 – 1.8
