China is short for natural gas resource and the gap in supply has been increasing, with the increased foreign-trade dependence. However, China’s coal chemical industry has been booming taking advantage of its abundant coal resource. Therefore, the coal-based substitute natural gas synthesis has become an effective way to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of natural gas in China. Here we are introducing our innovative high-temperature methanation catalyst (KC-501) characterized for its high stability, strong abrasion resistance and high corrosion resistance under conditions of high temperature and high steam partial pressure. It is suitable for the processes with high CO and CO2 concentration. The working life of KC-501 is normally more than 2 years depending on the specific operating conditions.
