As a cutting-edge company pushing the boundaries of catalysis technique, NovelC announced that it has launched the production line for its newly invented pre-reduced methanation catalyst (KC-501H). Our R&D team has debottlenecked the production problem and introduced the special reducing pre-treatment process so that the new generation of pre-reduced methanation catalyst (KC-501H) does not require catalyst activation process during the start-up stage. Approved by the evaluation experiments on the industrial facilities, KC-501H provides the top performance on the conversion rate and working life.
The pre-reduced methanation catalyst (KC-501H) is suitable for coal-based substitute natural gas synthesis and other methanation processes, with the active component of nickel and carrier of composite inorganic oxide. KC-501H is featured for its excellent stability under the conditions of wide ranges of temperature and water/gas ratio, high resistance to erosion and corrosion and superb adaptability for methanation processe with high CO/CO2 concentration.
The active component i.e. nickel exists in the form of oxidation state for the conventional methanation catalyst, which requires the reducing process for activation during the start-up, while the newly invented methanation catalyst (KC-501H) can be used directly after being loaded into the reactor, allowing for a more economical efficient and simplified operation. A number of customers have signed the intention agreements for KC-501H, which has shown its huge potentials
